Safe recruitment is about ensuring that safeguarding measures are integrated into every step of recruitment and personnel management cycle. Organisations need to hire the right people. The right people are those that have skills for the job, but they also need to be committed to the organisation’s values, able to abide by the organisation’s safeguarding policy and the code of conduct, and demonstrate that they are free of criminal convictions or safeguarding misconduct in previous employment. This webinar focuses on the safeguarding measures that are needed during recruitment and addresses some of the challenges that organisations might face in ensuring their recruitment practices are safe.
