Oluchi is a dedicated and meticulous consultant with 9 years of experience implementing development and humanitarian programs. She is passionate and experienced in Capacity Building, System Strengthening, Safeguarding, and Accountability. Skilled in Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning - data collection, analysis, proper data use, and project designing & implementation. Oluchi has supported organisations to put in place policies and procedures for safeguarding, with a particular emphasis on ensuring that appropriate systems and processes are in place for the prevention of SEAH.

She is skilled at influencing leadership and organisations on the necessity of having safeguarding measures in place and then works closely with organisations to understand how they can best be supported to integrate safeguarding into the way their organization works and delivers programmes and services. Her areas of expertise include: conducting organisational capacity assessment to identify relevant gaps/needs, developing robust action plans for capacity strengthening, staff training, supporting organizations to develop safeguarding policies and code of conduct, capacity strengthening of organizations to promote safe programming through appropriate risk assessment, developing mitigation plans, establishing effective complaints and response mechanisms, ensuring adequate mainstreaming of safeguarding in programs, from project designing to implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

Oluchi is mindful of the constraints that organisations face in developing safeguards e.g. where funding is limited or where organisations have to deliver emergency response quickly and over a short timeframe. She works with organisations to find solutions to these

constraints that are practical, while meeting their safeguarding needs.

Oluchi has implemented USAID, CDC, DRA, FCDO, etc funded projects in WASH, Food Security and Livelihood, Orphans and Vulnerable Children’s Programming, Safeguarding, HIV, PMTCT, TB, and Nutrition, at INGO, NGO/CBO levels.

Works in English, Igbo and has working knowledge of Hausa.
